Chiang Mai Adventure 2: Adventure Jungle Trek to the Hill Tribes

3 days / 2 nights - private or in international company

Adventurous jungle trek with mountain tribe accommodation north of Chiang Mai.

On the evening prior to your 1st trekking day, there will be a short information meeting with your trekking guide at 6:00 PM.

Day 1: Chiang Mai - waterfall - trekking - Karen village

Departure from your hotel by pick-up truck. Along the way, stop at the local market of Mae Malai. Then, in Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park, take a short walk to Mok Fah waterfall for a refreshing swim. You continue by pick-up truck. After lunch you will take a 2.5 hour walk through the jungle to a Karen village. Arriving in the village you can meet the friendly people and relax. Your dinner and overnight stay is in the Karen village. You will stay in a very basic accommodation with shared facilities

Day 2: Karen Village - Trekking - Rafting Camp

After breakfast you will take a walk of about 3-4 hours through the jungle. Arriving in a Karen village you can relax and meet the Thai elephant after lunch. Then you will take a walk to the rafting camp. Here you can go for a swim in the river or do some fishing. Your dinner and overnight stay are in this rafting camp

Day 3: Rafting Camp – Bamboo Rafting - Lahu and Shan Village - Chiang Mai

Today you will make an exciting bamboo raft trip on the Mae Tang River with a stop at a Lahu village on the way. Continue by raft to a Shan village. From here you will drive back to Chiang Mai by pick-up truck. Lunch is included

Including:

- All transfers by pick-up truck or air-conditioned car or minivan

-Overnight stays in a Karen village and rafting camp (both with shared facilities) on a bed and breakfast basis

-lunch on day 1, 2 and 3; dinner on day 1 and 2

-Guidance during the trip by an expert English-speaking driver/guide
