Day 1: Chiang Mai - Mae Sariang (approx. 190 km)

Depart from your hotel in Chiang Mai to Mae Wang National Park, where you will hike to Pha Chor Cliff. The columns and walls created by erosion are a special natural attraction. Then you will visit the Ob Luang National Park. Here you walk to the spectacular ravine and over the 'nature trail' with prehistoric rock and cave paintings. After lunch you continue to the town of Mae Sariang, where tourism is still in its early stages. You will stay 1 night in Mae Sariang

Day 2: Mae Sariang - Mae Hong Son (approx. 155 km)

After breakfast, begin the ascent to the mountain town of Mae Hong Son. A great route with beautiful panoramas. You will have a special encounter with one of the most remarkable hill tribes in the world, the Karen Paduang, better known as 'Longnecks'. These women wear many neck rings with which they 'stretch' their neck. You take a boat trip on the Pai River to the village near the border with Myanmar. In Mae Hong Son you will visit Wat Doi Kong Mu, with a beautiful view over the city and the idyllic lakeside temple complex Wat Chong Klang-Chong Kham. Lunch is also included today. You will stay 1 night in a beautifully situated resort.

Day 3: Mae Hong Son - Pai (approx. 150 km)

After breakfast you will drive on one of the most beautiful routes in Thailand and you will also pass the highest point in Thailand accessible by road. Near Pang Mapha, explore the Tham Lod caves, a subterranean canyon through which a river flows. You explore the caves with a bamboo raft. From the viewpoint at the Wat Mae Yen temple you have a beautiful view over the picturesque landscape. You will have lunch in the town of Pai. You will stay 1 night in Pai. We can recommend a visit to the famous Pai walking street.

Day 4: Pai - Chiang Mai (approx. 130 km)

In the morning you will visit the Memorial Bridge and Pai Canyon. In the Doi Suthep-Doi Pui national park you can take a walk to the beautiful Mok Fa waterfall where you can also take a refreshing bath. After visiting the local market in Mae Malai, drive to Chiang Mai.
