Discovery Tour 8

Day 1: Bangkok - bike ride - Cha-Am (about 190 km)

In the morning you will take a particularly colorful bike ride through Bangkok. The tour begins in the heart of Chinatown, the authentic Chinese quarter and one of Bangkok's busiest areas. You cycle through narrow alleys, interspersed with covered markets, sheds, shops and people cooking on the street. The locals here are mainly Buddhist. They visit nearby temples, perform ritual burnings of paper and believe in ghosts. Half way through the tour you will leave Chinatown and cross the Chao Phraya River. With a beautiful view of the city skyline behind you, you cycle into Thonburi. This part of the city is quieter and the people here are very pleasant and friendly. Soft drinks and a snack are included here. At the beginning of the afternoon you will continue to the famous seaside resort of Cha-Am.

Day 2: Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park - Chumphon (approx. 260 km)

After breakfast, visit Khao Sam Roi Yod Marine National Park. The park consists of a diverse landscape of mountain ranges, mangrove forests, freshwater swamps, beaches and islands in the Gulf of Thailand. The park is home to monkeys and many bird species. By fishing boat you make a trip through the mangrove to a quiet beach. Here you can enjoy the beautiful beach and climb the steps to the impressive Prayanakorn cave, one of the country's most photographed caves. The climb to the cave is well worth the effort. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the cave into which you descend. King Rama V has built a beautiful pavilion here. This is lit by another opening in the vault of the cave and therefore gives extra shine to this temple. The silence in the cave is overwhelming! After lunch you will drive to a resort located near the town of Chumphon on the Gulf of Thailand.

Day 3: Chumphon - Khao Sok National Park (approx. 280 km)

Passing pineapple, coconut and rubber plantations, you arrive at Southern Thailand's most impressive rainforest and wildlife reserve. The Khao Sok National Park is truly a 'little paradise' on earth. The park has a breathtaking landscape and is home to one of the oldest rainforests on the planet, a crystal clear blue lake, great diversity of wildlife, cave systems and huge limestone rocks. After lunch you will take a canoe trip on the Klong Sok River, past impressive rock walls and through a 'tunnel' of dense jungle. You will stay 2 nights in a resort located near the entrance of the national park. In the evening you can enjoy a delicious dinner here.

Day 4: Khao Sok National Park - Day Trip Cheow Lan Lake

By long-tail boat you make an unforgettable day trip in an international group over the most beautiful lake in Southeast Asia, the gigantic Rajaphrapha reservoir (Cheow Lan Lake), with majestic rock formations that rise vertically out of the water. Lunch is served on the lake in a floating restaurant. Here you can relax and swim in the clear water. You will also take a jungle walk and visit a cave and a floating lodge. In the afternoon, cruise back to the pier and drive to the resort. In the evening you will again have dinner here.

Day 5: Khao Sok National Park - Krabi (approx. 120 km)

In the morning drive to the much loved Krabi, surrounded by unparalleled natural beauty, where you will spend the next 2 nights in a comfortable and beautiful resort with swimming pool near the beach of Ao Nang on the Andaman coast.

Day 6: Krabi

Beautiful Krabi has a unique location on the dazzlingly beautiful bay of Phang Nga, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Enjoy the beautiful beaches and the natural beauty that Krabi and the surrounding area have to offer.

Day 7: Krabi

This tour ends after breakfast at your hotel. You can choose to extend this tour with a few more nights in Krabi or one of our many extension options.
