Explore the surroundings of Chiang Mai from the Lanna Dusita Riverside Boutique Resort just outside Chiang Mai on the Ping River. An ideal place if you like peace and relaxation, but don't want to stay too far from the city

Day 1: Mountain Temple and Boat Ride

Transfer from the airport, station or your hotel in Chiang Mai to the resort. The resort is located in San Phi Sua, about a 15-minute drive north of the center of Chiang Mai, in a beautiful garden and terrace on the banks of the Ping River. Early in the afternoon you will drive into the mountains to visit the Doi Suthep temple at 1054 m altitude in the jungle. Afterwards you will take a relaxing, approximately 2hour cruise on the Ping River. Starting in the center of Chiang Mai, you will sail through the beautiful countryside to the north of the city. You will visit a traditional house. Fruit and/or soft drinks are served here. You will then be taken back to the resort.

Day 2: Cave and hot springs

After breakfast you will visit the impressive Muang On cave. Afterwards you will go to the Sankamphaeng hot springs. Located in a beautiful garden, geysers spew out of the ground to incredible heights. You can also take a bath in warm mineral water and relax in a healing sulfur bath. After returning to the resort, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Chiang Mai

Breakfast at the resort. You must check out by 12:00 noon. Transfer to the airport, station or your hotel in Chiang Mai
